The need
Several residential areas along a major highway in Kuwait have seen rapid development. Better access to the highway from these growing areas is urgently needed.
Overview
Fahad Al-Salem Street will be a major roadway linking these large residential areas of Kuwait City.
Our role
Our work includes the study, design and construction supervision of several interchanges as well as a pedestrian bridge. Our design covers more than 50 km of highway, five km of elevated structures and 18 bridges.
Designed & built to last
Through detailed engineering analysis, the structures are designed for the harsh Kuwaiti climate and for a service life of 100 years.
A national first
As part of the Fahad Al-Salem project, three cable-stayed bridges will be constructed; they are designed with heavy curved geometry, making the bridges unique to Kuwait and the region.
Contributing to quality of life
The Fahad Al-Salem project will to help improve the quality of life for residents and boost economic activity. Construction of this major landmark is expected to be completed in 2021.
